Chaloner Middle School science teacher and former Roanoke Rapids Graded School District Teacher of the Year Patrick Quast has been selected to participate in the Northeast Leadership Academy, which will prepare him for a future position as principal.

The Roanoke Rapids High School Class of 2016 received more than $3.5 million in scholarships today at the annual Senior Awards ceremony.

LaChance named '16 RRGSD Teacher Ambassador

Students lined the hallways and cheered this morning at Belmont Elementary for one of their own.

An intense search to find a replacement for former Superintendent Dennis Sawyer has led the Roanoke Rapids Graded School District to name an Alamance-Burlington school system administrator to lead the city's education system.

The Roanoke Rapids Graded School District Board of Trustees moved forward Tuesday on building the athletic complex behind Roanoke Rapids High School.

The Roanoke Rapids Regional Board of Adjustment this evening unanimously backed Planning and Development Director Kelly Lasky's decision to issue a building permit for the construction of a shelter to house activity busses at the former Medlin school.
