Halifax County Board of Commissioners Chairman Vernon Bryant today signed a declaration which lifts the state emergency imposed during this past weekend’s storm.
Due to the potential catastrophic impacts predicted in wake of Winter Storm Fern, Halifax County declared a State of Emergency today at 12:00 p.m. that will remain in effect until modified or rescinded.
The last winter drop-in visioning session to provide input on the Halifax County Comprehensive Land Use and Recreation Plan will be held January 22 from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. at St. Paul’s Baptist Church in Enfield.
The Juvenile Crime Prevention Council having studied the needs of juveniles in the county hereby publishes this Request for Proposals.
