Bogus money, drugs seized in Vance St. raid

Counterfeit money, marijuana and cocaine was seized late this afternoon following service of a search warrant in the 700 block of Vance Street.

The City County Drug Task Force made arrests in Weldon and Roanoke Rapids today, seizing marijuana and cocaine.

Agents seize 30 heroin bindles following stop

City County Drug Task Force agents Tuesday evening seized 30 bindles of heroin from the vehicle of a Littleton man following a traffic stop in the Information Grocery area.

A federal detainer has been placed on a Columbus County pair who were stopped in Scotland Neck Wednesday night, a stop which led to the seizure of 102 bricks of heroin.

Carolina Avenue drug probe continues

A continued probe into cocaine sales at a residence in the 900 block of Carolina Avenue led to more arrests today but investigation continues.

The newest member of the City County Drug Task Force, a dog named Tony, helped agents seize 77.3 grams of cocaine — a trafficking amount.

A Roanoke Rapids man was arrested this evening after the captain of the City County Drug Task Force reportedly observed a hand-to-hand drug transaction while following up on a drug complaint at Carolina Avenue and East Tenth Street.

A Wright Road community man faces pill trafficking charges after reportedly selling to a confidential source and agents finding differing types of pain medication inside his residence following a search.
