The Northampton County Sheriff’s Office is searching for Lashawn Moore, 24, of Woodland.

Captain M.D. Deloatch Sr. said Moore is wanted in the Operation Take as Directed campaign from earlier this month where some 28 people, mainly from Bertie County, were arrested.

Moore, according to the North Carolina State Bureau of Investigation, is wanted for conspiracy to sell and deliver Oxycodone, possession with intent to sell and deliver Oxycodone and sell and deliver Oxycodone.

Deloatch said Moore mainly frequents the Woodland area.

The SBI said earlier this month the operation was the result of a three-month, multi-jurisdictional undercover operation that focused on the sale of prescription drugs in Bertie and Hertford counties.

Within 90 days, law enforcement made street-level covert purchases of 893 Oxycodone and dilaudid pills in this operation.

The total street value of those prescription opiate tablets is more than $8,000.

Anyone with information on Moore's whereabouts is encouraged to contact the Northampton County Sheriff’s Office at 252-534-2611 or call Central Communications at 252-574-1041.
