KIPP building a program.
With a roster of 15 players last season, former coach Diego
Hasty's vision is in the works. Coach Hasty had a vision before
he passed away in July, "Build a Program" at KIPP High.

Well KIPP has over
forty roster players with several
freshmen
and sophomores on both sides of the ball including at quarterback.

Kipp Pride lost a heart-breaker to Word of God Friday night in
Gaston 33-26.

With less than two minutes to go Larry Cotton caught a short
pass and broke several tackles in route to what appeared to be
the winning TD, but the play was called back for an illegal block.

Word of God was able to hold after that as time expired.

Darius Bobbitt rushed for 128 yards behind a much improved
offensive line as the Panthers rushed for over 230 yards, but
could not overcome three turnovers.

The Panthers will return to action on Sept. 19 against Rocky
Mount Prep at home.
