Mrs. Rook was born in Halifax County to the late William Preston Leggett and Edna Stephenson Leggett. She was preceded in death by her husband, William L. Rook.

Mrs. Rook was a member of New Testament Christian Church and had retired from J. P. Stevens after many years of service.
Mrs. Rook is survived by her brother: William Preston Leggett Jr of Lawton Oklahoma; Cousins; Helen Powell Bush, George I. Powell and his wife Barbara, Steve Tharrington and his wife Gail, David Tharrington and his wife Joanne, Marty Stephenson and his wife Wain and Donald R. Stephenson. Nieces and nephews; Elaine Esposito, Dr. Richard Leggett, Charles Leggett, and Bobby Leggett. Special friend Norma Newsome and caregivers Nettie Lou Parks and Kim Shotwell.
Funeral Services will be held Thursday, May 18, 2017, at 11:00 AM at New Testament Christian Church with Minister Daniel West and Mr. George Powell officiating.

Burial will follow at Oak Grove United Methodist Church Cemetery. The Family will receive friends at New Testament Christian Church on Thursday from 10:00 AM until 10:45AM.
