Josh Elias earned the win on the mound for the Jackets pitching 3 shutout innings striking out 4 batters.  Jordan Collins pitched 2 innings giving up 4 unearned runs and striking out 1 batter.  Tyler Shearin finished the game by pitching 2 innings giving up 1 unearned run and striking out 1 batter.

The Yellow Jackets had 17 hits on the night.  The offense was led by Josh Elias (3 hits and 3 RBI), Marcus Allen (3 hits and 1 RBI) and Hunter Connell (3 hits and 1 RBI).  Other Jackets with hits were Bracy Irby (2 hits), Aaron Jackson (2 hits), Cameron Rogerson, Colby Warren, Peyton Jackson, and Jacob Rooker.

Post game comments by RRHS head coach Mark Snead stated, "This was another strong team effort.  Everyone on the team helped contribute to this win.  That's how magical seasons happen as teams work together and help push each other to get better everyday.  Josh Elias had a strong game on the mound and at the plate. Jordan and Tyler also pitched really well.  We just need to clean up some of our mistakes and keep striving to improve each time out."

With the win the Yellow Jackets improve to 3-1 on the season.  The next game for RRHS will be on Friday night when they host conference rival Bunn.  The JV game starts at 4pm with the Varsity game to follow.
