Ruth was also preceded in death by her husband, JesseThomas Parker and her sister, Autrey DeBerry Van Note.

The joy of her life was her grandchildren and great-grandchildren and her dog Max. She was an avid Tar Heel fan.

Ruth is survived by her two daughters, Terri Parker Carroll and her husband, Rick of Durham, NC, Robin Mincher and her husband, Steve of Roanoke Rapids, NC; her five Grandchildren, Jessica Ashley Carroll Whitted and her husband William, Timothy Richard Carroll, Adam Parker Mincher and his wife, Kathryn, Steven Nicholas Mincher, and Jessica Lynn Mincher; her six great grandchildren, Andre’, Sean, Devin, Skylar Whitted, Meredith and Madisyn Mincher. Ruth also leaves behind her very special furry friend, her dog Max.

Funeral Services will be held on Wednesday, March 8, 2017 at 2:00 P.M. at New Testament Christian Church with Rev. Daniel West and Rev. Dale Morris officiating.

Interment will follow at Cedarwood Cemetery in Weldon, NC.

The family will receive friends from 1:00 P.M. until Service Time at the Church or other times at 101 Steeplechase Run Roanoke Rapids, NC.
