He was born in Holdenville, OK, the son of the late Herbert and Mora Hall Moffatt, his sister Peggy Jo Boyt also preceded Jackie in death.
Jackie is survived by his loving wife, Glenda Hoggard Moffatt and his daughter Sherry Lynn Odom and her husband Wayne of Bracey, Virginia. Jackie also has two bother in laws Robert Payne Hoggard and his wife Onella of Virginia Beach Va., and Thomas Allen Hoggard and his wife Brenda of Littleton NC; sister Wanda Joan Kilpatrick (Cookie) of Mena AK.; two grandchildren Erika Lynn Odom of Nashville NC, and Marcy Jo Odom of Roanoke Rapids, NC.
Jackie served in the US Navy, was the owner of Enfield Supermarket and Side Walk Café. He served as a Deacon at Roanoke Baptist Church and at Maranatha Baptist Church. He was a Mason.
A Funeral Service will be held Saturday, February 18th, at 11:00 A.M. at Calvary Baptist Church, with Rev Randy Martin and Rev. Buddy Hoggard officiating. Burial will follow in Cedarwood Cemetery, Roanoke Rapids, NC
