While most high school basketball teams were busy enjoying their Saturday, the Trojans of Southeast Halifax were playing host to the Chargers of Weldon.

The game was a nice afternoon event for alot of people who needed something to do to help fill their three-day weekend.

The JV contest ended with the Weldon Chargers winning by a score of 68-39.

For the varsit girls contest, the Chargers lead by a score of 40-4 at halftime and went on to win by a score of 60-19.

For the final contest of the evening it didn't take the Chargers long to rebound from trailing 11-7 at the end of the first quarter. Leading by 34-15 at the half, Weldon went on to win 77-47.

Both teams did a great job of getting up and down the court.

On Tuesday Weldon will travel to the home of the Northampton Jaguars, host the Yellow Jackets on Wednesday night and then travel to Northwest on Friday night.
