Hill Family Farms will host its first Community Car Show & Summer Fundraiser on Saturday, July 11.

The non-profit organization is inviting families, car enthusiasts, and community members to come together for a day of connection, celebration, and purpose.

Set on the organization’s 37-acre farm in Whitakers, the event will feature a car show, local vendors, food trucks, music, and family-friendly activities — all designed to bring the community together while raising funds to support vital programs that serve children, seniors, and individuals with disabilities.

Founded by longtime educator Eunice Hill, Hill Family Farms has become a cornerstone of support for surrounding communities. After retiring in 2024 following a 37-year career as a Head Start director, Hill continues her life’s work through the non-profit she began building in 2016. “Everything we do is rooted in serving God by serving God’s people,” said Hill. “This event is about more than cars or a gathering — it’s about bringing people together to support the work that’s changing lives every day.”

Hill Family Farms focuses on three core areas: food access, recreation, and life skills development.

In the past year Hill said the organization has impacted more than 1,100 children through summer programming, while also providing consistent food distribution and wellness support for seniors and families across four counties.

During the COVID-19 pandemic, when traditional services like Meals on Wheels were disrupted, Hill Family Farms stepped in to provide food for seniors and individuals with disabilities — expanding its reach and reinforcing its role as a critical community resource.

The upcoming July 11 event is designed to become a signature annual fundraiser, helping sustain and grow these programs. Organizers expect participation from over 300 vehicles, along with strong community turnout throughout the day.

Community members are encouraged to attend, register a vehicle, become a vendor, or support the event through sponsorship opportunities.

“This is just the beginning,” Hill said. “Our hope is that this becomes something the community looks forward to every year — a day that brings people together while helping us continue to serve those who need it most.”
