Joyce Willis Joyner, 77, of Roanoke Rapids, died Monday, August 2, 2021.

Joyce was born in Nash County on March 27, 1944, a daughter to Raymond L. Willis and Dorothy Snow Willis.   

She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband.

She, along with her late husband, James Monroe Joyner, was co-owner/operator of Joyner Electric Motor Company.  

Joyce was a loving mother and grandmother who enjoyed cooking and NASCAR racing.  Joyce was a member of New Testament Christian Church. 

Joyce is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Monray and Heather Joyner of Roanoke Rapids; granddaughter, Allison Joyner of Wilmington; and a sister and brother-in-law, Patsy and Hubert Wooten of Elm City. 

The family will receive friends from 7:00 – 8:30 pm Wednesday at Hockaday Funeral and Cremation Service.

The funeral service for Mrs. Joyce Joyner will be conducted at 11:00 am Thursday from the graveside at Cedarwood Cemetery, with Minister Daniel West presiding.
