Patricia Gayle Wells, 72, of Roanoke Rapids, passed away on Saturday, February 7, 2026 in her home.   

Ms. Wells was born on March 18, 1953 in Roanoke Rapids, the daughter of the late Eunice Carter and William George.  She was also preceded in death by her siblings:  James Davis, Donald Davis, Ida Flythe, and Linda Davis.

Survivors include her daughter Emily Ayers and her wife Angela of Wilmington, her son Bryan Dorsey of Myrtle Beach, her sister Mary Ruth Pruden of Roanoke Rapids, her grandchild Ashton Childers, her lifelong partner Randall Conwell, and several nieces, nephews, and other extended family members. 

The family will receive friends on Thursday, February 12, 2026 from 6:00 – 8:00 PM at Hockaday Funeral & Cremation Service.
