Garry Jay Lynn 69, of Henrico died Monday, October 8, 2012 at his home.

Garry a native of Pennsylvania, was the son of the late Oscar and Ellen Lynn. Garry was a veteran of the United States Navy. He worked as a salesman most of his career. He was working for Shell Furniture in Roanoke Rapids, where he had been for several years.

He is survived by his wife of 37 years, Shirley Herring Lynn; two daughters Cindy Guston of Norfolk, Va. and  Angie Mickler and her husband, Mike of Green Coast Springs, FL; his son Garry Jay Lynn, II of Ahoskie; two sisters, Elmire Kishbaug of Bloomburg, PA. and Juanita Young of Berwick, PA; his brother, Donald Lynn of LA and five grandchildren.

Graveside Services will be held Friday, October 12, at 2 P.M. in Greenwood Cemetery in Dillon, SC.

The Family will receive friends Thursday, October 11, from 7-8:30 at Askew Funeral and Cremation Services in Roanoke Rapids.

The flag in front of the funeral home flies at half-staff in honor of Mr. Lynn’s service to his country.
