James Delbert Denny III, 38, of Roanoke Rapids died Friday, October 5, 2012 in Franklin, VA.

James was a native of Onslow County, NC, born on  February 13, 1974. He was preceded in death by his grandpa, Gunny Schipper.  James served his country in the Army National Guard.

He is survived by his mother, Marceal Schipper Johnson of Fayetteville; his daughter, Cameran Shane Denny of Roanoke Rapids; four sons, Nicholas James Denny and Leonard Gavin Denny, both of Roanoke Rapids, Nathan Klutz Denny of Nashville, NC, and Holden Caleb Denny of Emporia, VA; his sister, Jennifer Conner and her husband, Raymond, of Roanoke Rapids; his brother, Michael Johnson, also of Roanoke Rapids; his niece, Kassidy Conner; his nephew, Corbin Johnson; and two uncles, Carl Schipper and Earle Schipper, both of Bear Creek, NC.

A private memorial will be held. 

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made in James’ memory for his children at any State Employees’ Credit Union branch.
