Both parties in a reported domestic assault where hedge clippers and a toilet tank lid were among the weapons used were charged Wednesday.

The Northampton County Sheriff's Office responded to Potecasi Lane and Deputy Justine Wilkins learned there was an argument between Matthew Saxon, 42, and his wife, Luceda Parker, 52.

Saxon alleged Parker assaulted him with a pair of hedge clippers, which caused a small mark on his arm, Captain Chuck Hasty said.

Deputies Chris Collier and Chris Hamm arrived to assist.

Parker alleged that during the argument Saxon told her to go outside where Saxon reportedly assaulted her by throwing a bicycle, lawn mower and toilet tank lid at her. Deputies observed injuries to her leg.

Wilkins charged Saxon and Parker with assault with a deadly weapon. They were jailed without the opportunity for bond due to the domestic nature of the case. They have July 7 court dates.
