This makes the second time in a month that Terrell and Tirrell Simmons have been arrested.

Detective Rich Somogyi of the Halifax County Sheriff’s Office said this afternoon it is unclear whether the charges filed against the brothers stem from crimes they allegedly committed while out on bond from the last time they were arrested or are crimes committed before their arrests on those charges.

The metal theft allegedly occurred in the Darlington area where metal pipes and aluminum window frames were stolen from a farm maintenance shop. A four-wheeler was stolen from another farm.

Further investigation revealed the metal pipes and aluminum window frames were sold to a metal scrap yard in Halifax County.

Lieutenant Neil Aycock and Sergeant Randy Keeton located and arrested the men, who all live in Roanoke Rapids, this morning.

The brothers were also served arrest warrants from the Roanoke Rapids Police Department for similar crimes.

Miranda was jailed on $2,000 bond and the brothers received $12,000 bonds.

They have June 26 court dates.
