Halifax County Schools this morning celebrated the opening of Eastman Leadership Academy for this coming school year with a ribbon-cutting.
Speakers included alumni, school board members, county commissioners, and a descendant of George Eastman, the namesake of the school.
The school will be a pre-K through eighth-grade school.
