No foul play is suspected in the death of a man who was found on the side of Little Deep Creek Road this morning.

Lieutenant Bobby Martin of the Halifax County Sheriff's Office said the man, whose name has not yet been released, most likely died of natural causes as he was walking. Exposure to the cold has also been ruled out.

The sheriff's office received the report shortly after 10 this morning when a passing motorist saw the man lying on the side of the 600 block of the road.

The man was known to walk from house to house in the neighborhood, Martin, who was at the scene, said.
