“Halifax Community College is incredibly grateful to the Golden LEAF Foundation for its continued financial support in the way of the Golden Leaf Scholarships,” HCC President Patrena Benton Elliott said. “The Golden LEAF Scholarships remove financial barriers and open doors for our students to further their education and earn work-force ready credentials. Their investment in our students produces significant returns for them, their families, and our community.”
The Golden LEAF Foundation has awarded funds for scholarships to students attending North Carolina community colleges since 2000.
“The Golden LEAF Scholarship Program is a strategy to help strengthen the workforce in North Carolina,” said Scott T. Hamilton, Golden LEAF president and CEO. “The scholarship equips students with the necessary talent, knowledge, and skill to meet the demands of local employers. This initiative not only supports individual scholars but ultimately contributes to the broader economic growth of communities across the state.”
