Second man wanted in Daniels murder surrenders

Lamonte Lloyd, the second person wanted in the January 26 murder of Jimmy Daniels, surrendered this evening, Scotland Neck police confirmed.

The North Carolina State Bureau of Investigation is currently working with other law enforcement agencies and the judicial system to bring Tyquan Powell back to Halifax County to face charges in the January 26 murder of Jimmy Daniels.

The man murdered in Scotland Neck Tuesday was a potential state's witness in a case where a mistrial was declared in October.
