A man who the Halifax County Sheriff’s Office Narcotics Division says has 27 pending charges was arrested today for heroin trafficking as well as counts associated with marijuana possession.
A Halifax man was arrested last week on heroin counts following a traffic stop, the county sheriff’s office reports.
A Monday night chase which began on Julian R. Allsbrook Highway near Premier Boulevard ended in the arrest of two men and the seizure of heroin.
The Halifax County Sheriff’s Office reported an arrest in a January 9 assault and the City County Drug Task Force reported heroin was found wrapped in a lottery ticket following a Monday night traffic stop.

One man wanted in the Wilton Cotton murder surrendered Tuesday night while the other was taken into custody in rural Nash County and delivered to Halifax County this morning. The one arrested in Nash County was later freed.
Two more people are wanted for the Gordon Drive murder and shooting, Roanoke Rapids police said today.
