In a statement the company describes the store, which is located next to Sleepy's, as a high-engagement facility to display the latest devices, accessories and technology.
“At U.S. Cellular, we focus on providing the best wireless experience for our customers through positive store interactions and the most knowledgeable associates in the industry,” said Jeremy Taylor, director of sales for U.S. Cellular in eastern North Carolina. “We’re thrilled to bring this new interactive store to Roanoke Rapids.” Updates in the new building include an expanded device discovery zone, a connected devices engagement counter and a lounge. It has a large showroom and features multiple phone bars with interactive screens designed to allow customers hands-on access to the latest devices. U.S. Cellular invested $420,000 in this Roanoke Rapids store, and it employs 14 associates.
It is open from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. Monday through Friday, 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. Saturday and 12 p.m. to 5 p.m. Sunday.
