Chief Deputy Scott Hall of the Halifax County Sheriff’s Office said Christine Cherie Richardson, 47, was familiar with the victim in the case.
She faces 21 counts of larceny of a firearm and a count each of breaking and entering, felony larceny and injury to real property.
In addition to firearms, personal items such as jewelry were taken. A monetary value of the items stolen was not immediately available. Hall said the firearms have not been recovered.
The charges stem from a December 18 report in which deputies and detectives responded.
Richardson, who was arrested Tuesday, was placed in the Halifax County Detention Center under a $15,000 secured bond and has an initial court date of February 7.
Hall said additional arrests are possible.
