The Vikings rebounded from a 0-4 score against the Kavaliers to tie the game 4-4 in the seventh inning sending it into overtime.
After ten innings of play and Kenston Forest pitcher striking out 9 Vikings with her changeup pitch almost unhittable, she closed the game in the top of the tenth with a two run homerun.
Kenston Forest won the game 6-4 in ten innings.
Sydney Smith pitched the first three innings for the Vikings striking out three Kavalier batters. Candice Smith pitched the next seven innings with four strike-outs.
At the plate for the Halifax Academy Vikings Ashton Garner was the big hitter with two doubles and two singles, Candice Smith had three singles, Morgan Hudomint had a double and a single and Drew Rose, Emerson Poole, Ashlyn Liles and Karen Alston each had a single.
