The Halifax Academy Lady Vikings soccer team got back on track Monday night with a 4-2 win against the Village Christian Academy from Fayetteville.

Maddie Suiter had two goals along with Abby George scoring two goals and adding an assist for the Vikings.

Post match comments from head coach Tim George, "This was finally a complete team effort from the girl tonight. They really came out and showed that a high energy effort can make all the difference. The defense played a more solid game eliminating some of the easy chances we had given up lately, while the midfield controlled the field better than I've seen in a few games. Eighth grader Kallie Barnes played her first ever game in goal and played outstanding as she recorded 6 saves and took away several other scoring chances by attacking the loose balls in the penalty box."

There is no rest for the Lady Vikings as they play an away conference game Tuesday at Crossroads Christian at 4bpm.
