The Halifax Vikings earned the season opener win 11-7 over Community Christian.

On the mound for the Vikings was Evan Dail pitching two innings with four runs, one was earned run, walked five batters and two strike-outs, Larry West pitched one inning with three hits, three runs, all three runs earned and no walks or strike-outs, Reed Lynch earned the win pitching four innings with two hits, three runs none of witch were earned, walked 3 batters and had 8 strike-outs.

At the plate for Halifax, Larry West went 3 for 5, Chad Keeter went 2 for 3, Cody Wood went 2 for4 with a double and three RBI's, Reed Lynch went 2 for 5 with a double, Evan Dail went 2 for 5 with a triple, Bryce Cooke went 1-3, while Jesse Rose went 1-3.
