Marie was retired as the Assistant Clerk of Court for Halifax County after 32 years of service. After retiring she went to work part time at Branch Funeral Home and then Askew Funeral Services for several years. She was a long time member of East tenth Street Church of Christ.
She is survived by her sons, Lewis Spragins and his wife, Tracy of Knightdale and Tommy Spragins and his wife, Becky of Roanoke Rapids. Her grand children, Eric Spragins, Holly Spragins, Joshua Spragins and Jacob Spragins.
Funeral Services will be held Saturday February 11, 2017 at 2 P.M. in the Chapel of Askew Funeral and Cremation Services with Ministers Dave Chapman and Randy Martin officiating.
Interment will follow in Cedarwood Cemetery in Roanoke Rapids.
The Family will receive friends Saturday from 12:30 until service time at the Funeral Home.
