RRPD blotter: September 10-11, 2016

The Roanoke Rapids Police Department reported the following, according to Chief Chuck Hasty:

Saturday September 10, 2016
At approximately 10 a.m., Lieutenant Perry Parks conducted a traffic stop in what is traditionally called the no-hundred block of Madison Street.
The vehicle was bearing a stolen plate.
Parks charged the driver, Stacey Eshaywanda Garner, 36, of Roanoke Rapids, with possession of stolen property, driving while license revoked and fictitious tags.
She received a $2,000 bond and November 4 court date.
Officer Greg Colson assisted.

At approximately 3:15 p.m., Officer Hannah Grimes conducted a traffic stop for an investigation on the Big Lots parking lot.
During the stop Grimes could smell marijuana coming from inside the vehicle.
Narcotics and paraphernalia were found following a search of the vehicle.
Grimes cited Carlos Devon Davis, 31, of Springfield, Missouri, for possession of schedule VI and possession of drug paraphernalia.
He was released until his October 7 court date.
Master Officer Roy Ball assisted.

Sunday September 11, 2016
At approximately 8:30 a.m., Parks stopped Joshua William Ash, 23, of Roanoke Rapids, after observing suspicious activity on Old Farm Road.
Ash was found in possession of drug paraphernalia.
Parks cited Ash, who was released until his November 4 court date, for possession of drug paraphernalia.

At approximately 6:15 p.m., Grimes and Officer Jamie Hardy responded to a disturbance call at Store Next Door.
They found a large group there yelling and cursing and attempted to get the crowd to leave.
Hardy told Guymeil Rayshawn Pierce, 24, of Roanoke Rapids, numerous times to stop yelling and cursing and leave the parking lot.
Pierce refused and was arrested and charged with disorderly conduct and resisting/delaying/obstructing an officer.
He received a $500 bond and October 7 court date.
Parks and Ball assisted.

At approximately 6:30 p.m., Officer Scott Blythe responded to a larceny call at Walmart.
Loss prevention reported Shaketa Denise Squire, 27, of Emporia, Virginia, took items.
Blythe cited Squire for larceny and possession of stolen goods. She was released until her October 10 court date.
At approximately 8 p.m., Master Officer Jonathan Benthall located Terrence Jamaal Robinson, 21, of Roanoke Rapids, in the 100 block of Monroe Street on outstanding warrants for breaking and entering, larceny after breaking and entering, possession of stolen goods and injury to property.
These charges stem from an investigation by Investigator Jeff Davis, on August 4.
The victim reported their residence was broken into and items taken.
Davis identified Robinson as the alleged suspect and obtained warrants.
Robinson received a $3,000 bond and October 16 court date.
Sergeant Terrence Tyler and officers Matt Hunsucker and Chris Biggerstaff assisted.
