Presentation on Ram Albemarle set Friday

Local historian Tom Green will share information on the Ram Albemarle Friday with the Halifax County Historical Association.

Green, who also runs the local John Deere dealership in Scotland Neck, will discuss its development and service during the Civil War.
The ironclad was commissioned in April of 1864 and was constructed in the Edward’s Ferry area of Scotland Neck.
The presentation will be at 6:30 p.m. in the fellowship hall of Halifax Methodist Church on King Street in Halifax.
There will be a meal served and is $10 per person. Reservations are required.
