Dog which bit owner last week in quarantine

The Northampton County Sheriff’s Office reports a dog which attacked its owner last week is in quarantine

Lieutenant Courtney Williams said the dog will remain quarantined for an undetermined period of time.
The dog’s owner is in stable condition and recovering from her injuries, Williams said this evening.
In the statement Williams said the owner was attacked on July 21 around 5 p.m. in the area of Old Emporia Road in Gaston.
The victim sustained serious injuries.
Northampton County Animal Control responded to the scene and removed the dog from the property.
Sheriff Jack Smith, in addition to animal control and his officers, acknowledged in the statement the work of Northampton County EMS, Gaston EMS and Gaston Volunteer Fire Department in the matter.
