A Roanoke Rapids man has been arrested for the second time in week on charges related to a breaking and entering, according to the Halifax County Sheriff’s Office.

The latest charges against Lance Christopher Allen, 26, stem from a breaking and entering which was reported in Zoo Road area Tuesday, Deputy Chief Scott Hall said in a statement.
He was charged last week in a breaking and entering which was reported on July 11 in the Allendale Drive area.
The latest charges, which were lodged following investigation by Detective D.C. Dickens, are for misdemeanor larceny and obtaining property by false pretense. He was arrested Wednesday, Hall said in the statement.
The false pretense charge stems from the theft of a debit card during the Zoo Road breaking and entering. The card was used at several stores in the Roanoke Rapids area.
Allen received a $2,000 bond and August 24 court date.
Hall could not immediately be reached for further comment.
