A Henrico woman reported missing Monday morning was found deceased in a wooded area near her home, the Northampton County Sheriff’s Office reports.

Lieutenant M.D. Deloatch Sr. said this afternoon foul play is not suspected in the death of Marilyn Bell Caldwell, 65.
Deloatch said in a statement her brother reported her missing around 9:30 a.m. after not hearing from her or seeing her in about two weeks.
The sheriff’s office began a search for her and contacted the state Department of Public Safety Prison Emergency Response Team, which aided in the search.
Caldwell was located shortly before 4:15 p.m. by the search team.
An autopsy is pending, Deloatch said in the statement.
Sheriff Jack Smith said in the statement the American Red Cross helped keep emergency responders hydrated by providing liquids as well as food during the ordeal. “I would also like to thank the North Carolina Department of Corrections for assisting in the search as well as members of the Northampton County Sheriff’s Office.”
Sheriff’s office Sergeant Patrick Jacobs processed the scene.
“I would like to extend my condolences to the Caldwell family,” he said.
