Head Coach Jim Whitmire comments after the game,  "What a fantastic start to the conerfernce schedule.   The win over NCSSM gives us a 1-0 start in conference play and a 4-2 record overall.   I continue to be very proud of our maturation and the way the team continues to "gel".   Different players are emerging and playing at a high level.   This time last year we were 0-6 and fighting hard.   This year we are 4-2 and fighting even harder.   The point averge stays above 50 per game and bench play is getting stronger.   This is an exciting time for the program, please take time to come out and see for yourself as the season continues.   We travel to Durham to take on Durham School of Arts."
