Christmas in Halifax set Saturday

Youth coach charged in bomb scare

The coach of the Roanoke Rapids Yellow Jackets midget football team was charged today for allegedly making a bomb threat to the Halifax County Courthouse this morning.

With temperatures expected to be in the mid-50s, Roanoke Rapids Parks and Recreation Director John Simeon says Sunday should “be a great day for a parade.”
