The Halifax County Sheriff's Office is seeking information on a November 26 hit and run that occurred on Highway 158 near Zoo Road.

Chief Deputy Bruce Temple said the crash occurred shortly after 9 p.m., when the victim was traveling east on Highway 158 and slowing to turn in a private drive. The vehicle was struck in the rear by another vehicle, causing the victim's vehicle to turn upside down, and causing minor injuries to the driver.

The vehicle, possibly a sport utility vehicle, continued traveling east on Highway 158. It is believed the vehicle may have been silver or another light color.

The sheriff's office is seeking the public's assistance, Temple said, hoping anyone with information may recall a vehicle with new front-end damage that sustained on the date of the hit and run.

Anyone with information is encouraged to call Crimestoppers at 252-583-4444. A reward will be paid for driver identification.
