Canal museum to be part of documentary

The Roanoke Canal Museum will be featured on an upcoming public television documentary entitled Moving North Carolina, according to a press release from the city.



State Senator Angela Bryant explained in a news release Friday the consolidation of the two local judicial and prosecutorial districts was done through an attachment to the state budget bill that also sought to create a new district in Stanley County.

Woman charged with larceny by employee

An Enfield woman was charged Thursday with larceny by employee, according to the Halifax County Sheriff's Office.

More charges have been filed against a Garysburg man allegedly responsible for a string of daytime break-ins and larcenies throughout Halifax County.
