Ransom observed two people, later identified as Terrell Mason and Devontea Williams.

Both began to run as Ransom got of his patrol car. Ransom caught one of the men immediately and the other was picked up a few hours later.

Garner declined to say which person was caught first, but noted in the statement the one caught first reportedly confessed to his part of the crime.

Items taken from the residence, including a keyboard and amplifier, were recovered and both men face charges of felony breaking and entering, felony larceny after breaking and entering and felony possession of stolen goods.

They received $15,000 bonds and April 21 court dates.

In the statement Garner praised Ransom for his quick response time. “He did an outstanding job.” Assisting were Captain Courtney Williams and Lieutenant Anthony Thomas of the Northampton County Sheriff's Office; Sergeant Thomas Staton of the Gaston Police Department and Officer Jaquan Britt of the Seaboard Police Department.
