Roanoke Rapids High Lady Jacket's Logan Storey shut down Louisburg Warriors softball Tuesday, throwing a complete game shutout and leading the Yellow Jackets to a 11-0 victory.

Karlee Hammack led Roanoke Rapids to victory by driving in four runs. Hammack went 3-for-4 at the plate. Hammack drove in runs on a single in the third and a home run in the fifth. The Lady Yellow Jackets put up five runs in the fifth inning. The offensive onslaught came from a single by Makayla Pair, a home run by Hammack, and a groundout by Lauren Garner. A single by Josey Leonard in the second inning was a positive for Louisburg.

Storey took the win for Roanoke Rapids. The hurler went five innings, allowing zero runs on four hits, striking out three and walking one. Greenleigh Gleason took the loss for Louisburg. The hurler surrendered 11 runs on 16 hits over five innings, striking out three.

The Lady Jackets tallied one home run on the day. Hammack put one out in the fifth inning. Roanoke Rapids collected 16 hits on the day. Hammack, Sue Odom, Kaysie Summerlin, Storey, and Pair each collected multiple hits for Roanoke Rapids.

Summerlin, Odom, and Hammack all had three hits to lead the Lady Yellow Jackets.

Roanoke Rapids was sure-handed in the field and didn't commit a single error. Odom had the most chances in the field with seven. Louisburg had four hits in the game. Ja'Lynn Fields and Leonard all managed multiple hits for Louisburg. Louisburg didn't commit a single error in the field. Alexandra Edwards had the most chances in the field with six.
