The Halifax Academy Cross-Country teams wrapped up their 2018 season running in the NCISAA XC Championships held in Hendersonville on Friday, October 26th.

Under rainy skies, in chilly temps, the Halifax Academy girls finished 7th in a field with 23 schools represented while the Halifax boys finished 14th out of the 26 team field.

Morgan Hudomint earned All-State honors finishing 6th overall in a time of 22:00.

The Lady Vikings were paced by Hudomint,  Amber Markham,  Abby Fleming,  Chloe Alston, Kate Forsht, and Holly Forsht.

For the boys, Thomas Garrett finIshed 17th out of 155 runners. Other leading finishers were Jacob Harris,  Kris Carter, and Ted Fleming. Rounding out the Viking scoring were Wesley Boerner, Ben Keeter, and  Adam Hudson.

The Vikings had an excellent day on a slippery, muddy course. They met the challenge and ended the season with strong efforts from all the runners.
