The Gaston College Prep (GCP) Middle School defeats Rocky Mount Prep Wednesday night 30-0 after one half of play. 

Rocky Mount Prep coach asked for a forfeit at halftime and it was granted.

 

GCP offense was led by Jayden(Turbo) Whidbee with 3 carries for 87 yards and 3 touchdowns. He had touchdown runs of 15, 35 and 37 yards. Jaylin (Speedy) Lashley had 3 carries for 52 yards and 1 touchdown. His touchdown run was for 10 yards. Dhananjay (DJ) Sykes had 2 carries for 17 yards. Lucas Sharpe had 1 carry for 5 yards. Ja’Quan Price added 2 two point conversions. Jaylan Burchette had 1 two point conversion. 

 

Dhananjay (DJ) Sykes was 3 of 4 passing for 72 yards. Jaylin (Speedy) Lashley had 2 receptions for 37 yards. Kaeden Cherry had 1 reception for 35 yards.

 

Defense was led by Chaika Hines with 5 tackles. Abaim Hines had 2 tackles. Jaylan Burchette and Travis Robinson had 1 tackle apiece. Ja’Cari Jones had 1 interception. Dhananjay (DJ) Sykes, Jayden (Turbo) Whidbee and Michael Walton all had 1 fumble recovery apiece. Travis Robinson and Jaylin (Speedy) Lashley had one pass deflection apiece.
