Scott passed away peacefully with his loving family by his side May 27, 2023.
Scott was born in Virginia Beach to John S. Hancock and Judy Hodges.
He was preceded in death by his father John Hancock, step father Russell Hodges and brother Russell Lee Hancock.

Scott’s love for his family, animals and his love for fishing will be remembered by all. His infectious smile and laughter will stay with all who loved him.
Scott is survived by his mother Judy Hodges, sisters Robin Clift and Don, Michelle Schwieterman and Bob of Florida, and Tammy Hancock-Butch of Roanoke Rapids, North Carolina. Two daughters Destiny Hancock of Virginia Beach, and Hollye Arnold of Jacksonville, North Carolina, grandchildren, Alison Gunderson, Jonathan and Benjamin Arnold and numerous nieces and nephews.
Family will receive friends at his sister’s house on 815 Henry Street. A celebration of life will be held at a later date.
