Rebecca Jones Wells, 91 of Weldon, passed away on Friday, April 28, 2023, in Edgecombe Health by Harborview.  

Mrs. Wells was born on April 1, 1932, in Emporia, VA, the daughter of the late Hessie Woodruff and Freeman Jones.  

She was the widow of the late Eddie Lee Wells.  

Surviving include her daughter Betsy Weston Burgess (Mike), her grandchildren:  Taylor Nicole Burgess Arp (Charles) and Matthew T. Burgess (Alison), and her great grandchild Ava Arp.

A Funeral Service will be held at 10:00 am on Tuesday, May 9th, 2023, at Wrenn Funeral Home with Rev. Nancy Stanton McDaniel officiating.  Burial will follow in Independence United Methodist Church Cemetery.
