Joyce Short “Me-Me” Redwine, loving Wife, Mother, Me-Me, and friend, died Tuesday, October 13, 2020. 


Joyce, 75, was a native of Nash County, the daughter of the late Willie Merritt Short and Emma Pearl Wilson Short. 

Joyce was the co-owner, along with her loving husband Jim, of Redwine’s  Garage & Parts Sales, Gaston, Halifax and Emporia VA..

Joyce is survived by her husband of 58 years, Jim Redwine, her son; Brian Redwine and Dawn Griffin, of Littleton, her daughter; Dee R. Oakley and her husband Tony, brother; Claude Short and his wife Bessie of Rocky Mount, sister; Marjorie S. Pearce and her husband Bobby of Kent’s Store, Virginia, grandchildren; Erica O. Britt and her husband Rick, Cody Oakley of Raleigh, Taylor Redwine, and Logan Oakley, great grandchild; Ivy L. Britt, her extended family includes Chase, Chandler, and Esme Oakley, Shay Edwards, and several loving nieces and nephews, and the family furbaby Biscuit.

The family will receive friends Friday, October 16, 2020, at New Testament Christian Church from 5:30 P.M. until 8:00 P.M. Graveside services will be held Saturday, October 17, 2020 at 11:00 A.M at Cedarwood Cemetery with Minister Daniel West officiating.

In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Re-Joyce Scholarship Fund, c/o Halifax Academy, 1400 Three Bridges Rd., Roanoke Rapids, NC, 27870.
