Leon Ray Wood, 69, died Tuesday, July 21, 2020, at Vidant North Hospital.

A native of Northampton County, Ray was a retired farmer and the son of the late Van Thomas Wood and Edith Moore Wood.

Ray is survived by his brother; Michael Wood and his wife Marion, of Skippers, VA, a niece; Sarah Mathes and her husband Adam, of Smyrna, GA, his nephews; Matt Wood and his wife Chrissa of Wake Forest, NC and Brent Wood and his wife Jessi of Skippers, VA, 10 great nieces and nephews.

A Celebration of Life Service will be held for Ray at a later date.
