Joann Walker Spence, 84, of Roanoke Rapids, went to her Heavenly home Sunday, July 19, 2020, at Liberty Commons Nursing Home.

Joann was born in Roanoke Rapids, the daughter of the late Charles Brown Walker and Georgia Lou Walker, and the last of their five children. 

She was also preceded in death by her husband Clyde Carlton Spence, Sr. and their son David Lee Spence.

Surviving Mrs. Spence are her sons, Clyde Carlton “Butch’ Spence, Jr. of Halifax, Randy L. Spence of Littleton, Ronald W. Spence and his wife Renee of Roanoke Rapids. Grandchildren; Robin Lynn Spence, Susan Greene, Michelle Hale, Kimberly Ann Pinna, Timothy Spence, Randall Spence, Riley Spence, seven great grandchildren and two great–great grandchildren.

A Graveside service will be held in Cedarwood Cemetery, Tuesday, July 21, 2020 at 11:00 AM with Rev. Randy Martin Officiating.
