John Fleetwood Vick, 85, passed away on Monday, June 8, 2026. 

He is preceded in death by his wife, Barbara Lee Vick, son, John Stacy Vick, and parents, John and Vangee Vick.

John is survived by his daughter, Cindy Mumford (Keith) and her mother, Mary Pearl Vick, step son, Doug Lucas, step daughters, Tammy Barrow (Tony) and Angel Landgrover (Doug), grandchildren, Victoria Mumford, Stacy Mumford and Daniel Mumford “Little Buddy”, step grandchildren, Mallory Cartwright, Megan Barrow, Jacob Landgrover and Lindsey Landgrover, great grandchild, Gracie Cartwright, and sister in law “Auntie”, Joyce Clements (Carter). 

John lived a life marked by kindness, hard work, and a deep appreciation for the outdoors. Among his greatest joys was fishing, tennis and nature trail walks with his daughter. He also enjoyed singing for the nursing home, visiting the sick to bring comfort and attending church. John was a devoted Christian, daddy and papa. Though he has cast his final line, the lessons, laughter, and love he shared will remain with all who knew him. He will be deeply missed and forever remembered.

A visitation will be held on Thursday, June 11, 2026 from 5:00pm to 7:00pm at Wrenn Funeral Home. A funeral service will be held on Friday, June 12, 2026 starting at 2:00pm at Victory Baptist Church with Pastor Jeremy Kobernat officiating. Interment will follow to Milwaukee Cemetery.
