Betty Jean Ogburn, 79, of Emporia, passed away Wednesday, July 10, 2019. 

She was the daughter of the late Robert L. and Virginia Dunlow Balmer. She was also preceded in death by three brothers, Lewis, Donnie, and Marshall Balmer.

Mrs. Ogburn is survived by her husband, Johnny C. Ogburn, three sons, Michael Pair (Bernadette), Darryl Pair (Amy) and Eddie Ogburn (Brandy); grandchildren, Curt, Stephanie, Lizzie and Exia Pair, Brandon Mevins, Sarah Davis, Rachel and Landen Pair and Dylan, E.J. and Jackson Ogburn; three great-grandchildren, Makayla and Luke Pair and Mckenzie Hamilton; three sisters, Virgie Thacker (James), Alice Dean (Edward),

Marie Melvin (Marvin); two brothers, Earl Balmer(Mary) and Dennis Balmer (Wendy) and a number of nieces and nephews.

The funeral service will be held 2 p.m. Saturday, July 13 at Faith Baptist Church, 951 W. Atlantic St., Emporia, Virginia where the family will receive friends 12-2 p.m. prior to the service. Interment will follow at Greensville Memorial Cemetery.
