Cleveland “Snap” Cutchin,

of Halifax, North Carolina, departed this life on Thursday, March 21, 2019 at Halifax Regional Medical Center.  He was seventy-seven years old.

In his younger years he enjoyed farming; taking care of livestock (whether it was his or someone else’s); being outside in nature, and riding on his red/orange tractor.

His other enjoyments that everyone should know were fishing and hunting.  If he was headed outside with his camouflage suit, his cap, and that daggone shot gun, you knew where he was headed.  Don’t ask no questions, something is catching a bullet.

The recliner was his final destination for the day.  He would watch his westerns from sunrise to sundown until they were watching him.

He retired from Perdue of Halifax, NC after 20 years of service, and was recognized for his service upon retirement.

He was born to the late Henry and Susanna Cutchin.  To cherish his memory he leaves his wife, Bessie Garrett Cutchin and their four children, Cleveland Earl (Diann) Cutchin, Genise (Robert) Cherry, Shewahn (Eddie) Waters, Carlton (Latasha) Cutchin; he also leaves his daughters, Cassandra Kearney and Lesia Kearney; 14 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; and so many nieces and nephews.

Cleveland “Snap” Cutchin was preceded in death by his five brothers and two sisters.  He also leaves to celebrate his life, one brother, Douglas (Vandell) Cutchin and one sister, Edna (William) Peterson.

The memorial service for Mr.  Cutchin will be held at 2 o’clock, Friday afternoon,
March 29, 2019 in the chapel of Hockaday Funeral and Cremation Service.
