Bernice “Bengie” Gantt Stallings, 80, of Roanoke Rapids, passed away on Monday, June 24, 2024 in Bryan Health and Rehab in Scotland Neck, NC.  

Mrs. Stallings was born in Halifax County on December 14, 1943, the daughter of the late Beatrice Farrell and Roy Atlas Gantt.  

She was also preceded in death by four siblings. 

Bengie loved her family, especially her grandchildren.  

She enjoyed going to yard sales and farmers markets as well as gardening.   

Surviving include her daughter Jennifer Little, her grandchildren Madelyn Little and Aubrey Little, all of Roanoke Rapids, her brothers Dennis Gantt Sr. (Teri) of Franklinton, NC and Roy Gantt (Shelby) of Huntersville, NC.  She is also survived by multiple nieces and nephews, including Dennis Gantt Jr. (Renee) of Raleigh and Sheri Beals (Timmy) of Roanoke Rapids. 

A Graveside Service will be held at 10:00 AM on Friday, July 5, 2024 in Cedarwood Cemetery with Rev. Matthew Reider officiating.
